«It is essential sometimes to go into retreat, to stop everything that you have been doing, to stop your beliefs and experiences completely and look at them anew, not keep on repeating them like machines. You would then let fresh air into your mind. Wouldn’t you? This place must be of great beauty with trees, birds, and quietness, for beauty is truth and truth is goodness and love.» – Krishnamurti
Breathe it all in…
from CHF 1399 | 6 Nights | English & German
A remote mountain hotel, surrounded by snowy peaks. A valley preparing for a new season of bloom. A river swollen from melting snow. A sanctuary of nature. A place to deeply feel moment by moment the effects of cold, heat, wind, water, snow, sun, solitude, confinement, freedom and space on your body-mind. A place that makes you feel tiny and huge, humble and majestic, human and divine, all at the same time. A place to bring you back to your INNER NATURE, your loving awareness. A place to help you realise your deep connection and oneness with all.
This retreat is not for the faint-hearted. It’s for those who are willing to surrender to their inner knowing, for those who want to grow through yielding, for the curious and adventurous, for the bold and brave who are not afraid of themselves. Open up, let go, expand, see, smell, heal, feel, SENSE.
…smell, sense & heal
Dive into an intense daily practice, explore a variety of meditation and breathing techniques, expand your awareness through somatic movement and embodiment practices, indulge in wholesome Alpine food, connect to the wild, rough and unpredictable elements of nature, and focus on your SELF in a new way.
A picturesque Alpine valley
I thought about calling it an immersion, but that sounded too pretentious somehow. So I kept it simple; a retreat. A re-TREAT. Treat yourself to it, and it will come back to you in many ways. Let me indulge you in all the wisdom and knowledge that has shaped my path as a yogi. Let me offer you meaningful movement, community, connection and moments of deep reflection and stillness. Let me take you on a journey into nature, inside and outside. Daily morning sadhana, as well as three hours of daily practice, will help you find a deeper awareness of your body-mind. Two bespoke workshops will focus on the uniqueness of every human body (and how this affects our individual practice) and the importance of proprioception and felt sense. Our nature awareness afternoon will connect us to the outdoors with all our senses. And the «Alpine Mala» workshop will give you the unique opportunity to craft your very own piece of spiritual jewellery, complete with rock beads from the mountains that surround you.

Deepen your practice…
Eager to share not only her practice but also the beauty of nature, the Swiss mountains and her hometown, Katharina has been offering yoga retreats in Davos since 2017. She is the owner of the local studio «Davos Yoga» and has over 700 hours of training as a yoga instructor (Yoga Alliance RYT-500 certified). Her trainings include a variety of styles, from Hatha & Vinyasa to Yin, Therapeutic Yoga and Yoga for Trauma. Having trained with master teacher Mark Stephens in California, she considers herself a bit of an anatomy geek, but is also very much inspired by somatic movement, embodiment practices and non-dualist philosophy.
…and explore new techniques
Katharina’s teachings are based on her love for the human body-mind, her own experiences with healing trauma and injury through yoga and a focus on safety and alignment. Rather than attaching a certain label to her retreat classes, she encourages students to observe the sensations in their body-mind, be it during a flow sequence or a long hold, and to allow for moments of pure awareness and connection in their practice. You will be given the opportunity to explore breathing and meditation techniques, as well as various styles of postural yoga, during your retreat.
Classes are all-level, and no prior yoga experience is needed, although we do encourage you to take a few introductory classes before your retreat.
